Go Joe Wilson !

September 11th, 2009

Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) called President Obama a liar during a nationally televised address to congress on Sept. 09. It is not the first time that a congressman has used the phrase and the moral outrage apears a little false. Does no one remember Senators Reid, Clinton, Kerry, and others calling General Patreas a liar? How many times have the democrat leads stood before cameras and claimed president bush lied about weapons of mass destruction. Even President Obama called Sarah Palin a liar during his speech. He also attacked his opposition and the american people during that same speech. Not everyone agrees healthcare reform is needed, especially if government becomes part of the industry.

It is also not uncommon for a president to lie to serve his agenda or to try and wrangle out of a crisis. Nixon lied while trying to cover up Watergate. Clinton obviously lied about “that woman, Monica Lewinsky”. Bush likely exaggerated when needed to get funding for war on terror. So why is it believed that Obama would not lie to push his socialized agenda upon America. His actions in the past 8 months have shown us that he has no conservative values, nor even appreciation for our capitalist society. Instead he works to destroy wealth to make us all equally miserable and dependent on a larger more bureaucratic government.

The blurt out of “you lie” seems to have helped Joe’s 2010 opponent’s fund raising ability, but I suspect Joe will get some uplift too. If you want to donate to Joe Wilson you can do so at JoeWilsonforCongress.com. I did, and it was the first time in years that I have given any money to the republican party, mainly because they have not shown the type of courage Joe exhibited in just two words, nor a commitment to the conservative principals they supposedly support.
