I just downloaded Notepad++. This is a great little text editor for when you don’t need a full blown application like dreamweaver.
It opens quickly and lets you view your code for various programming and scripting languages. You can even edit the colors used so you can spot your errors quickly.
The only negative I can find is that it does not have language support for COLDFUSION (CFML). Installing the plugin for coldfusion was not well documented and left me wondering why they did not have it incuded in the main library of languages. As an alternative you can use the HTML formatting for most of the tool the the CFML tags are merely black.
