Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe has recently launched its Creative Cloud subscription service.

Creative Cloud is a membership that lets you download and install any of the new Adobe Creative SuiteĀ® 6 desktop software. — adobe.com

Instead of purchasing the software you can now subscribe monthly. This is very useful for web developers, graphic artists/designers, and other creatives. It allows you to try the full suite of products on demand rather than having to shell out a bunch of money at one time for products you don’t need.

There are various pricing plans depending on your adobe purchase status, number of applications you want, or if you are a teacher/college student. Photographers who only want Photoshop can subscribe to just the one product at a reduced rate. Upgrades are available on all the software at no additional costs. You decide what items you want or don’t want when.

If you are an occasional user of the adobe products you may not want to purchase the software but rather subscribe as needed, though you get better rates if you subscribe for at least a year. Do the math to determine which is better for you and your business. Purchase or Cloud.

I used it to upgrade Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and to learn Illustrator. I may also download Flash just to relearn it once again. I also tried Adobe Muse but found it did not meet my needs.
